Storage Capacity

54 Ampere hours (Ah). Dakota Lithium batteries provide consistent power for all 100 Amp hours. DL LiFePO4 batteries have a flat voltage curve, which means they have a steady power output as the battery discharges. The power output will not dramatically drop like similar sized SLA batteries. You get all the juice down to the last drop.

Lifecycles (battery lifespan)

Up to 80% capacity for 2,000 cycles in recommended conditions. The typical SLA has 500 cycles. Dakota Lithium batteries last so long that the price per use is a fraction of traditional batteries.

Operating temperature

Ideal for rugged & harsh environments. Much better than SLA or other lithium’s. -20°F min, +120°F max optimal operating temps (battery performs well down to -20°F). Avoid charging below 32°F.


50A max continuous, 100A max pulse 10 second pulse. The flat discharge voltage curve provides a 75% bigger capacity than a 54Ah SLA battery.


25A max, 14.4V recommended, 15V max. Included is a LiFePO4 compatible charger. A SLA charger may work, but will reduce performance and lifespan of the battery.

Includes active BMS protection

Contains a circuit that handles cell balancing, low voltage cutoff, high voltage cutoff, short circuit protection and temperature protection for increased performance and longer life.


All batteries are UN38 certified. Dakota Lithium's cells are UL1642 certified and have been tested per IEC62133 standards. Meets all US & International regulations for air, ground, train, & marine transport.

This is a deep cycle battery. Not designed for starting gasoline engines.

Charger Included

12V 10A LiFePO4 charger included. Dakota Lithium 12V batteries should be charged at 14.4 volts, higher than AGM or lead acid. Lead acid chargers will work, but will only charge the battery to 80% of capacity.

So far so good. I purchased this battery to power 2 Humminbird Helix 10s, a 998C and Livescope. First trip fishing was 4 hours long and finished with 12.5 volts left in initial charge. Thumbs up👍

Love the battery. I am using it to power a 34 lbs thrust min kota trolling motor on an eight foot bass pro shop pond prowler. The battery will last all day on the small lake I fish. Great purchase.

I purchased my second 12v 54ah battery after excellent performance using the first one as an emergency power source for my ham radio station. The N.C. coast has short to potentially intermediate power outages. The application is perfect.

Regarding my second 12v 54ah battery – the battery and charger came in well packed, documents and charger – all perfect upon receipt. The second battery is used to power a pedal boat that I modified to be powered with a 12v DC trolling motor. The energy density of Dakota lithium clinched the application. The battery is awesome and lasts a little longer than expected. If the review was solely on the performance of the battery it would be a 5/5 the issue I had was with the install. I have Livescope LV 34 running on a 1022, 2x helix 10SI, a Rapala aerator, and a single moon light. I can run two of the graphs at the front with the aerator and get a 10hr day easy. I do put them in sleep mode when not using. Example when I’m running down the lake the garmin and front helix are asleep. When I get The the spot I put The helix at the console in sleep mode. I would Run them all to find out what the true limitations are, however I get Interference between the two helix’s. As far as charging It has taken at the max about 2.5 hours to be topped off. My only complaint is the bolts that come with it. They send a small set of you have a single or 2 connections to go to each post or a super long one. I had to go get something in the middle because I have 5 connections going to each post. Be attentive to the specs online and with the charger, kind of wish they would throw a card in with the bolts as a reminder instead of having to look it up or on the install/information card. The specs, specifically on tightening the posts and the charge states to not keep it continuously hooked up after fully charged, recommended to unhook after 16-24 hours after charging is complete I feel like most people would over look that. So because of that and having an older boat I had install switches to ensure everything is off. I have a TH marine 24 series mount for it. I cut wood with holes to make a snug fit and ensure airflow.
