For a rough estimate of your battery capacity needs, first calculate the total energy your appliances or equipment will use:
Wattage (W) × Hours of Use = Watt-Hours (Wh)

Then estimate the required amp-hour capacity based on your battery voltage:
Watt-Hours (Wh) ÷ Battery Voltage (V) = Amp-Hours (Ah)

Use a charger specifically designed or configured for LiFePO4 batteries and compatible with the voltage and charging specifications of your Dakota Lithium battery. The appropriate charging voltage and current can vary by battery model, so always check the individual product specifications before selecting a charger.

A deep cycle battery is primarily designed for sustained power and repeated cycling, not necessarily for engine starting. Some batteries may have sufficient current capability for certain starting applications, but you should only use a deep cycle battery for engine starting when the specific battery is rated for that application and its cranking or starting specifications meet your engine's requirements.
