I am a physical education teacher. Happily married for 11 years, with an amazing seven year old daughter. I love kayak fishing. I have been kayak fishing for about eight years now. I am the founder of Queen City kayak Bass Fishing here in Charlotte.

I have won 2 Angler of the Year titles, 2015 and 2016.

I have 20 first place finishes.

I have qualified for my annual Championship 5 years in a row.

How did you start in your sport? (What’s your origin story?)

I have been fishing my entire life. I grew up in NY fishing in the ocean for bluefish. My passion turned to bass when I moved south. I started on the bank at golf course ponds and wanted to get off the bank so I purchased a cheap kayak. 8 years later I own a tournament series and fish all over the east coast.
