Half the weight and twice the power of traditional lead batteries, this package combines two 25 amp hour batteries in parallel to create a compact 50Ah system ideal for powering forward-facing sonar, mobility devices, and other small 12V electronics.
Description
Built Dakota Tough, this compact lithium battery system delivers reliable, lightweight power for forward-facing sonar, mobility scooters, small electronics, and other 12V devices. Engineered with Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) technology, each 25Ah battery offers twice the power, half the weight, and up to four times the lifespan of traditional sealed lead-acid batteries—maximizing both performance and lifetime value.
This twin pack includes two DL 12V 25Ah batteries that can be wired in parallel to create a 12V 50Ah system, offering extended runtime for applications that demand more amp hours without increasing size or weight.
Ideal For:
-
Forward-facing sonar and advanced marine electronics
-
Mobility scooters and electric wheelchairs
-
Portable medical equipment and backup power
-
Camping gear, lighting, and off-grid 12V devices
-
Lightweight solar storage and small off-grid systems
Not Recommended For:
12V trolling motors or other high-draw propulsion systems. For trolling motor use, we recommend a 12V 54Ah or higher capacity battery.
Charger Recommendation:
12V 3A LiFePO4 charger (sold separately)
Compact, dependable, and designed to go the distance—this twin pack delivers freedom and flexibility wherever you need 12V power.
Technical Specifications
-
11 year warranty:
World beating, best in class, eleven year manufacturer defect warranty.
-
Compatibility:
Powers all 12V electronics. Powers trolling motors 45 lbs of thrust or less. Optimal run time at 30 lbs of thrust is 100 min - 150 min depending on motor setting.
-
Storage Capacity:
50 Ampere hours (Two 12.8V batteries to be wired in parallel). Dakota Lithium batteries provide consistent power for all 50 Amp hours. DL LiFePO4 batteries have a flat voltage curve, which means they have a steady power output as the battery discharges. The power output will not dramatically drop like similar sized SLA batteries. You get all the juice down to the last drop.
-
Cold Cranking Amps:
300 cold cranking amps, suitable for ATVs, UTVs, generators and small engines
-
Voltage:
12.8V
-
Energy:
300 Watt-hours (Wh) per battery
-
Terminals:
M6 terminals (posts that screw in). When used in salt water environments we recommend applying a small amount of dielectric grease on the threads of each terminal. It helps extend the lifespan. (Recommended Torque 5 ft lbs, Max Torque 9 ft lbs)
-
Size:
7.125"x 3.03"x 6.69" (181mm x 77mm x 170mm)
-
Weight:
6.4 lbs (2.9Kg). That's 60% lighter than a SLA battery.
-
Lifecycles (battery lifespan):
Up to 80% capacity for 5,000 cycles in recommended conditions. The typical SLA has 500 cycles. Dakota Lithium batteries last so long that the price per use is a fraction of traditional batteries.
-
Operating temperature:
Ideal for rugged & harsh environments. Much better than SLA or other lithium’s. -4°F to 131°F (-20°C to 55°C) optimal operating temps. Avoid charging below 32°F.
-
Discharge:
300 cold cranking amps, suitable for ATVs, UTVs, generators and small engines
-
Charge:
30A max, 14.4V recommended, 15V max. Please note: this battery should be charged between 32°F to 131°F (0°C to 55°C) and with a LiFePO4 compatible charger. A SLA charger may work, but will reduce performance and lifespan of the battery. Can be charged by ATV, UTV or powersports engine alternator (<30A output).
-
Includes active BMS protection:
Contains a circuit that handles cell balancing, low voltage cutoff, high voltage cutoff, short circuit protection and high temperature protection for increased performance and longer life.
-
Charger Sold Separately:
This battery should be charged using a LiFePO4 compatible charger. Dakota Lithium 12V batteries should be charged at 14.4 volts, higher than AGM or lead acid. Lead acid chargers will work, but will only charge the battery to 80% of capacity.
-
Certifications:
All batteries are UN38 certified. Dakota Lithium's cells are UL1642 certified and have been tested per IEC62133 standards. Meets all US & International regulations for air, ground, and train transport.
-
ISO 9001:2015:
Dakota Lithium is certified by ISO 9001:2015 for lithium battery engineering, manufacturing, and quality control. This means that the battery systems available at Dakota Lithium are designed and manufactured to the highest ISO 9001:2015 engineering standards. In addition, quality control is completed by our US based engineering team and follows ISO 9001 standards.
