I am a Minnesota based outdoorsman. I have been a tournament ice angler for 5+ years and have recently moved my talents into the world of guiding. My full-time employment is teaching. My love for the outdoors and teaching has led me to create informative videos on my YouTube Channel, YouBetcha! Outdoors.

Sport of choice in the winter? Summer?

Ice fishing in the winter, open water fishing in the summer.

What circuits do you compete in?

I have competed in the Ultimate Panfish League. Taking a break from competing to guide for Thalmann’s Guide Service.

First place on Lower Prior (UPL).

Top 5 finisher in UPL events on several occasions.

Top 10 in the team of the year standings in 4 different seasons.

In addition to working with Dakota Lithium, I represent Clam Outdoors, Vexilar, and Cold Snap Outdoors.

How did you start in your sport? (What’s your origin story?)

I have been fishing since I could walk. I spent most of my summers in northern Minnesota chasing panfish. After college, I moved to the northwest metro where I found an opportunity to start competing in the Ultimate Panfish League. The excitement and challenge of competitive fishing has motivated me to learn new tactics and chase fish all over the state.

What is your favorite Dakota Lithium Product & WHY?

12V10Ah battery . It has been a huge help in making me an even more mobile fisherman. Carrying less weight means it is easier to pick up and go to the next spot. The reliability means I never have to question if my electronics will last through the trip!
