So, I’m connecting these batteries in parallel for a sailboat battery bank. I don’t think this is an uncommon application. We’re using 2/0 AWG cables, and we had to get new (longer) attachment post bolts to accommodate the cables. I know DL saves manufacturing costs by not supplying longer posts and deeper sockets, but these batteries are not usable out of the box. An additional $30 of hardware for my four batteries was required, for what should be a foreseeable use application.

Day and night difference!

I bought three of these batteries to replace my Interstate batteries for the trolling motor. Interstates were two years old and could barely support 2hours of catching bait and 3hours of fishing(5hours for the day). The Dakota batteries showed a full charge after my last 4hour trip. I have a MinnKota 112lb thrust on a 2013 Edgewater 245CC, fishing the Gulf of Mexico in about 800ft of water. I also shaved more than 100lb of battery from the boat. I am sold!

I have a 16′ lund. The weight reduction due to getting this battery increased my top spread by 1/2 mph. When using the trolling motor at Lake Champlain it lasted all day with out the loss of power that I have experienced when using traditional batteries. As my son would say “Game Changer”. Additionally, Jamie Richard’s was excellent in answering my questions and assisting on getting one of my batteries on time for my trip, thank you Jamie.

Used this battery for my Electronics and live target keeps voltage up above 12.5 never went below that excellent That’s on my bass boat Plus have three more Batteries two for trolling motor One for starting boat motor and running all other things in boat except electronics

I’ve only used it one time. It did much better than the 60lb. lead acid. The 12v. 100ah. weighs 23lb. that’s good for my kayak !

Using 2-12volt 100s on the trolling motor and 2-12volt 54s for all my electronics and had no issues
On board 4/40 dakota charger that’s convenient and dependable
