I upgraded from a Lowrance Elite TI to a Lowrance HDS Live. The Dekota 10ah battery did not last more than 4 hours on the new locator. I purchased the Dakota 12v 23ah battery and not only did it go all day but my locator, both down scan and side scan was much more defined. Also, my Sonar was also much clearer. I was told by a Lowrance Rep years ago that as you upgrade in features, you have to upgrade in battery power. The Dakota is the key. I put it in a Pelican 1200 box, and it fit perfect.
