Just got my 54Ah, for trolling motor but also have the 10Ah that I’ve used for months now on my locator. Very happy with performance of both Dakota Lithium batteries.

So far so good. I have made a couple fishing trips of 6-8 hours and a sand bar day of 8+ hours. While fishing 2 graphs, talon, nav lights when it got dark. Sand bar day one graph and radio and I haven’t had to charge it yet. I obviously haven’t used it a ton but so far I am impressed.

I installed the Dakota Lithium 54Ah in my kayak on Monday and went out on the lake for a fishing trip. I motored around (45 lb. thrust MinnKota trolling motor) for about 4 hours…not constant use of course but a good workout for the battery. In charging it the next day with the supplied 3 amp charger it took a little less than 4 hours to bring it back to full charge. Based on my calculations that means I used less than 1/4 of the available power in this battery. I have used lead acid deep cycle batteries for decades and have never had this kind of performance! And the difference in weight (17 lbs. compared to 52 lbs.) is a such a blessing for my 63 year old self in getting out on the water.
Worth the expense in my opinion!

Well made battery, trolling motor dream. I ran for 3 hours and on my battery meter, the full charge was still flashing as I pulled my boat out of the water!!!

BEST. BATTERY. PERIOD.
I have a heavy Titan 13.5 kayak, and the 54ah Dakota battery paired with my Minn Kota will pull me all day long with power to spare! River current or calm water lakes. It just doesn’t matter with Dakota Lithium. I know go double the distance I did with my old SLA battery setup. That can make all the difference when you’re out to cash a check. Worth every penny!

This year I repowered my entire rig with Dakota Lithium. My humminbird Helix 9 will run practically all day for two days straight, and still have power left. I also power my minn kota with the 54ah Dakota battery. It’ll pull me around in my Titan 13.5 (extremely heavy yak) all day long without dying. At the end of the day I can put them all on charge and just a few hours they’re 100% charged and ready to roll again. Couldn’t do that with any other batteries I’ve had before. Worth every penny! I now go double the distance I did with my old SLA setup.
