I bought two units. Pretty impressive pieces of technology. The more I read online of their capabilities the more impressed I became. The manual is pretty basic and unimpressive. I was led to believe the programming for my purposes was via the units’ dip switches. What I wish I knew before the purchase is they require software programming to enable two or more units to sync for your intended purpose. By default they’re set to standalone 120V operation. In my case I wanted 240V split-phase ops so I need to set that up via software with the two 120V units 180 degrees out of phase. You need to download the free Victron software but also you need the Victron Energy Interface MK3-USB (VE.Bus to USB) unit. With taxes the unit’s about $77 USD. I’m still waiting on it from another vendor (didn’t see it on DL’s site) but, in the meantime, I’m getting my programming education from Victron and some You Tubers, I don’t see any reason why I’ll change my rating here. Another benefit of programming is enabling the use of a small output generator. The software enables limiting the inverter’s generator current draw to that supplied by the generator. You supplement the generator’s load supply by drawing from the batteries as the load increases past the generator’s capacity. During light loading the Victron unit recharges the batteries. Single, split, and 3 phase operations are just three modes available. For my mission, this does everything plus!
