How did you start in your sport? (What’s your origin story?)
I came from the bass boat world, where I competed in the Bassmaster Opens, and the FLW Costa Series. Fishing started to get less fun for me, so I decided to go a different direction and see what kayak bass fishing was all about. I had never owned a kayak prior 2017, so I started with a cheap box store kayak just to get out on the water and have some fun. I then discovered that the sport of kayak bass fishing was bigger than I thought, so I started fishing the KBF Challenge Series to simply see what it was like. I immediately fell in love with it, and went on to qualify for the 2019 KBF National Championship…and then WON it!! Needless to say, I’m hooked for life!
