I am an avid kayak tournament angler that competes on the national, regional, and local levels. I am also the Co-Director of the Mid-Atlantic Kayak Bass Fishing Series. When I am not fishing or working my day job, I am partnering with leaders in my community and advocating for Veteran Service Organizations with a primary focus on those that provide aquatic recreational therapy to combat the effects of PTSD and other service connected disabilities.

Wins, Accomplishments, and Big Moments

Over the past 4 years, I have won 5 tournaments and placed in the top ten 36 times.

I have also helped co-direct the MAKBF series for the past 3 seasons, having helped raise over $9,000 for Veteran Service organizations such as Heroes on the Water and Bravo Zulu Outdoors during that span.

While tournament wins are always the goal, the relationships I have built and lives I have been able to touch within the kayak fishing community and beyond supersede any big tourney win in my opinion.

How did you start in your sport? (What’s your origin story?)

Having been introduced to the addiction at the age of 3 by my pops, I have been an avid angler most of my life. Growing up all over Southern Cali, I have spent a great deal of time learning new waters and constantly seeking growth. I started tournament fishing in bass boats then realized my love for kayak fishing 7 years ago and was instantly hooked. I was asked to join the Jackson Adventures fishing team 5 years ago and the adventure accelerated for me at that point. Kayak fishing has provided me a way to deal with my PTSD and has given me a way to get away from it all and enjoy the serenity and peace of mind of just being on the water. It has also enabled me another vessel by whoch I am able to affect positive change in my community and help others who are aware of it’s therapeutic benefits. I love introducing others to the sport and sharing my knowledge and passion with people of all ages. Tight Lines and Sharp Minds.

What is your favorite Dakota Lithium Product & WHY?

Its hard to pick just one so I will say both the Powerbox 40 and Powerbox 10. The Powerbox 40 has enough power to run my Jackson Flex E-Drive all day with juice to spare. The Powerbox 10 does the same for me when running my Raymarine Element 9 all day. Both units ensure I am able to perform at optimal levels during the course of any tournament I fish. Both are also faily compact and lightweight, which is paramount when competing and every ounce and amount of space counts.
