I purchased two 12v 10Ah batteries for a ham radio project. I will run them in parallel in a box with a solar charge controller, 100 Watt panels, a rig runner power pole 1×4, an inverter, and a Bose speaker for the radio. I will be able to run in my house or on my ATV with a external antenna. The batteries have been on for 48 hours and are still at 12.9 Volts. I am receiving my local repeater and probably have transmitted 20 minutes.

I haven’t gotten to test my new batteries yet. I bought them for an (ups) uninterrupted power supply. When i gave customer service the load data, they said the batteries should last 4-5 hours. My old lead acid only could make it 30 minutes. All I can do, is wait and see.

Use it for the depth finder on my kayak didn’t drain a bit with all day use. By lead acid battery would drain 50%. But it is 9 years old. Main reason I switched was to reduce weight.
