I’m so incredibly thankful that Dakota made this exceptional deal available at the time that they did. I’m putting together an inflatable kayak project and this is an absolutely PERFECT lithium battery for my application. I’m grateful that Dakota made this offer at the time of year, that they did. During the past year I built (6) battery boxes for all our kids and grandkids. The box design was copied from several different You Tube channels. The first (2) boxes were configured with 12v 9ah SLA batteries. The battery choice was driven by cost. The kids liked and used the boxes at the beach and surf/pier fishing. The lone issue they had was the weight. I shifted to a Dakota LiFePo4 12v 10ah for the next build. My daughter-in-law bought the battery but not charger as recommended. The new battery worked well but failed to charge using the charger she had provided. My son had inadvertently deeply discharged the battery. After doing a little research I suspected the BMS was not responding to a 12v charge voltage from her charger. I tried using another charger that was designed for LiFePo4 batteries and after several days was able wake up the BMS and fully recharge the battery. Our lesson learned was just because a Charger Mfg. says their product can be used with SLA and Lithium batteries doesn’t mean that it can. The new Dakota charger was delivered in a timely manner and works well. Dakota Customer Service was EXCELLENT. I’ve recently purchased (2) more batteries for other projects I’m working on.
