We’re excited to share that Dakota Lithium’s very own pro walleye angler, Duane Hjelm, has clinched victory at the National Walleye Tour (NWT) on Lake Sakakawea. This outstanding win on August 3, 2024, highlights Hjelm’s incredible talent and Dakota Lithium’s dedication to supporting top-tier fishing athletes.
From August 1-3, the NWT brought the nation’s best walleye anglers to the picturesque Lake Sakakawea in North Dakota. Duane Hjelm’s stellar performance wowed both spectators and competitors, as he secured the top spot with an impressive total catch weight of 56-08.
Hjelm’s success came from his expert skills and strategic use of technology. Key moments included:
– Keeping the trolling motor down
– Utilizing forward-facing sonar
These tactics, combined with the power of his Dakota Lithium setup, were crucial in helping him target and catch the winning fish. His gear included:
